Skinned flowers dance naked

as the night comes. Things ooze

here more than they crawl. Perfume

is a wrench, death is that

tarantula in your tool belt

and it is God who

blows raspberries

as you laugh, dying

and your body floats out

in every direction

but one.

Eddy Jordan writes runs and drinks in the Longmont & Boulder area. He graduated from CU in 2015 with a BFA in Theatre Performance which has informed his writing and also explains his odd behavior.
